Hello Everyone,
When God speaks He always speaks with a purpose. We usually want God to speak to us by giving us a nice thought to make us feel good. And that’s cool, but if you want the God of the universe to speak to you, you need to be ready for Him to reveal to you what He is doing where you are.He reveals what He is doing in order to call us to join Him; and to join Him requires a willingness to make whatever adjustments are necessary to walk with Him and participate in His eternal purpose.
That purpose is calling a people unto Himself that will live in such a way as to bring fulfillment in their lives and glory to God.
Paul tells us in verse 13 of Philippians 2::
“It is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.” (NIV)Too many in the church today, really don’t want God to speak to them in this way. That is why so many fail to hear the voice of God!“These are rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction. They say to the seers, ‘See no more visions!’ and to the prophets, ‘Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions. Leave this way, get off this path, and stop confronting us with the Holy One of Israel!’” - Isaiah 30:9-11 (NIV) When God called Abraham to follow him, he said, “I will make your name great,” - Genesis 12:2 (NIV).
For that to happen, God had to develop Abraham’s character to match his assignment. The same is true for us.
Remember: You cannot stay where you are and go with God! *The reason God is interested in guiding what you are doing is that He is interested in what you are becoming.*When God speaks, He speaks with a purpose. Part of that purpose relates to what He wants to accomplish through you, and part of it relates to what He wants to accomplish in you!Too many of us want the thrill of hearing From God and being in His will without having to make any adjustments in our character.
One does not happen without the other! You cannot follow God and remain the same.
He loves us to much to allow that.
Oh How HE Loves Us!
