Hello Everyone,
As we have spoken about experiencing God at work in our lives, we have identified seven realities associated with knowing and doing God’s will.
1. God is always at work around us.2. God pursues a continuing love relationship with us that is real and personal.3. God invites us to become involved with Him in his work.4. God speaks by His Holy spirit through His Word, through prayer, through circumstances, and through His church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.5. God’s invitation for us to join Him in His work will always lead us to a "crisis of belief’ that requires faith and action.6. We will have to make adjustments in our life in order to join God in what He is doing.7. We come to know God by experience as we obey Him and He accomplishes His work through us.This week, we are finishing out this series by looking at reality number seven - obeying God.
“God has given all of us very simple purpose- love, which is summed up in one word; obedience. We prove we love God by obeying God. If we obey God we will do everything He has prepared us to do noting more, nothing less. (From the book Do Something By Miles Mcpherson)
What if God showed up in person? And He said, “I’ll make you a deal. If you obey Me and follow MY rules, I will bless every area of your life, your family, your finances, and your future. You’ll never have to worry about these things anymore! I’ll watch over you and provide for you both now and forever!”How many of you would say that’s a good deal?
How many of you would say, “Lord, sign me up!
I want to be in on this!
I don’t want to miss any of the blessings you have for Your people?”I’m glad you feel that way. Because this offer is for real!
And it is available to everyone in the whole world.
Once we recognize the call of God, we then have to decide whether or not we believe God can enable us to do what He is calling us to be a part of.
When we have declared our faith in the Lord, we then adjust our lives in order to be in a position to obey.
Obedience is critical, without it, we will never do the will of God and we will not experience Him working in our lives.
Take time this week to read Deuteronomy 28:1-13 this week.
Oh How HE Loves Us!
