Hello Everyone,

Know wonder they call Him Savior according to Isaiah 53 He was wounded and bore stripes for our healing.

This healing refers to salvation with all its benefits, spiritual and physical.

Christ gave gifts of healing to His church and commanded His followers to heal the sick as part of the gospel of The Kingdom of God.

BUT THE ULTIMATE PURPOSE BEHIND JESUS’ SUFFERING is found in Isaiah 53:6.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

The ultimate purpose behind His suffering was so that the lost sheep would be able to come home.

Look at verse 6. It tells us that we like sheep have gone astray.
Also 1Peter 2:25
says For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Jesus suffered and died so that He could be the shepherd who leads us home.

2Corithians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Jesus took our sin upon himself and did what we couldn’t do.

Jesus was our scapegoat.

READ THE LAST PART OF VERSE 6.
In the Old Testament, in the book of Leviticus chapter 16, we have what has been called the scapegoat.
In our day a scapegoat is someone who takes the blame or the fall for something they did not do.

Jesus had your sins placed on Him so that you could have eternal life.

Who sent Jesus to the cross? I did, you did.
While Jesus was being mocked and beaten, while He was dying an
agonizing death on the cross, He was thinking about you.

Hello Everyone

In Isaiah 53 we see many reasons for the suffering of the

Savior. In verse 5 we that He was pierced through for our transgressions.

Jesus did not suffer for His own sins (because there were none to suffer for), but for OUR transgressions.
Look at some of the verses in the New Testament.

Matthew 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
Romans 5:6-8 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Jesus was pierced or wounded by thorns, nails and a spear for our sins.

Also in verse 5 we see that He was crushed for our iniquity.

This verse refers to the fact that Jesus was crushed under the weight of OUR sins.
The weight of the world’s sin would crush Jesus.

The word used here means to be broken to pieces, to be bruised, or crushed.

The use of the word here is meant to imply the most severe inward and outward sufferings.

It was my sin that sent Jesus to the cross.

He was also punished (chastened) for our well-being.

Jesus was punished for our well-being or for our peace.

1Peter 2:24 He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

Jesus died so that we could have peace with God through Him.

When we sin we are at war with God and Jesus died so that we could have our sins forgiven.

That allows us to be at peace with God, which also leads to eternal life!

Colossians 1:20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.

Jesus stepped in and took the punishment that we deserved!

Hello Everyone,

In Isaiah we see the suffering Christ. What was the true reason for His suffering?

The first reason that Jesus suffered in found in verse 4:

Isaiah says that one of the reasons that Jesus suffered was so that He could bear our infirmities, (grief’s).

The word for infirmities or grief means sickness, disease, anxiety, and affliction. It does not refer to sins, but to sufferings.

The word “bore” means as when one removes a burden from the shoulders of another, and places it on his own. The word means “to take up, to lift, or to raise.”

Listen: Jesus wants to lift your source of grief from you; He wants you to place it on His shoulders so that He can carry it for you. You do not have to bear your grief’s alone.

He also suffered so He could carry our sorrows this is also found in (vs.4).

The difference between this word and the word translated grief’s is that this refers to pains of the mind.

Anxiety or trouble of the soul; this covers also those sorrows that come as a result of sickness and disease.

Many are fighting fears in their minds about many different things, Jesus wants to carry those for you.

Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin.

Hello Everyone,

Of all the messianic prophecies that can be found in the Bible, there is nothing

out there as wonderful or as powerful as Isaiah 53.

Take time to read Isaiah 53:1-5 you can find it attached.

Isaiah wrote this some 700 years BEFORE the birth of Christ.

It’s almost as if the prophet Isaiah was sitting at the foot of the cross as he wrote these beautiful words describing our Lord’s life, death, and resurrection.

In our society today people have the mentality that they do not need Jesus because they are too good to need a savior or they feel that they can follow the path of their choosing to heaven.

People today look at Jesus and they wonder, if He was the Son of God, why did He die like He did?

People have a hard time believing that a loving God would allow His one and only Son suffer and die.

In verses 3 and 4 Isaiah tells his listeners that when the Messiah suffered, people would turn their backs on Him because they believed that He had to have done something to deserve the punishment that He was receiving.
This is part of the reason that verse 3 says that He was despised.

At the end of verse 4 we see yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted”. People could justify His treatment because they thought He deserved it.

Look at how this was fulfilled in Matthew 27:39-44. 39Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads 40and saying, "You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!"

41In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him. 42"He saved others," they said, "but he can't save himself! He's the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, 'I am the Son of God.' " 44In the same way the robbers who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

The only way that people could be so cruel to Jesus was to write Him off as a sinner.
Today people write Jesus off as just a good teacher, a fable or anything else to justify not following Him.

Today we put Jesus on a lower level than we should because we do not want to have anyone tell us how to live our lives.

Isaiah and the rest of the Bible tell us the real reason that Jesus suffered. This week let’s look closely at Isaiah 53 and see the true reason for His suffering.

Hello everyone,

Mark 16:17-18

17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

It all starts with a knock at the door and us opening it and letting Jesus come in to dwell with us. And as He dwells with us there is a Demonstration of His power.

Demonstration is that which can be seen, “signs and wonders”:

When we come to that place of drawing near to Him then the Invisible Glory of God comes, through His Holy Spirit.

The Word is preached people believe and a “Demonstration” of Gods presence takes place with “signs and wonders”.

As God dwells with His people!

You have the POWER within you to place your hands on sick people, and they will get well. Why? Because the King of Glory has come into your life and He dwells WITH you and IN you right now.

Don’t let this time of Divine Visitation pass you by open your mouth and declare the wonderful works of God. Believe one more time for that miracle that you need so desperately.

And as you do give God all the Glory in your life RIGHT NOW!

Hello Everyone,

It has been God’s desire since the creation of man to have a dwelling place among man.

God dwelling with man is the major theme of the Bible.

In Genesis God walked with Adam in the cool of the day.

In Exodus 25:1-9 God says build me a sanctuary and I will dwell with you read with me.

1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 "Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from each man whose heart prompts him to give. 3 These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze; 4 blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair; 5 ram skins dyed red and hides of sea cows; acacia wood; 6 olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; 7 and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breast piece.

8 "Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. 9 Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.

The Tabernacle was a “sanctuary” a place set apart for the Lord to dwell among and meet with His people.

God’s GLORY was over the Tabernacle day and night. When God’s Glory moved, Israel had to move.

But a Tabernacle was not good enough so God came personally.

John 1:14

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

And at the end of time in eternity we will dwell with God and He with us for ever! Read with me.

Revelation 21:3

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying. Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people and, God Himself will be with them and be their God.

What a day that will be!

Hello Everyone,

As we are experiencing what we believe is a Divine Visitation we need to understand that there is a pressing in, an opening the door if you will.

A Divine Visitation starts with a knock or a Solicitation from God.

He does the knocking, it always starts with God.

Look at Revelation 3:20 with me:

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

We see in verses 15-18 that the church at Laodicea had become lukewarm and worldly and had excluded Jesus from its congregation.

Read with me:

15I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

Christ is on the outside of the church knocking on the door soliciting to come into His own church.

This is a request for intimate fellowship with anyone who will repent of and overcome spiritual lukewarm ness.

Lord forbid that during this time of Divine Visitation that Christ is standing on the outside looking in.

I want to encourage you today to open the door wide and believe for signs and wonders in your life.

Ever where you go declare the wonderful works of God to all and see if your God will not show up MIGHTLY! Amen!

Be praying for this weekend for the “Freedom Encounter” that we would have a true visitation of the Holy Spirit.

Hello Everyone,

Listen to the voice of the Prophet pleading for a Divine visitation.

Isaiah 64:1 Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you!

Isaiah was a faithful man of God when the nation was going to pieces.

Isaiah stood his ground and declared that all would be lost unless the people would turn to God.

The prophet looked around at the condition of the country and then looked back to remember the days of old.

Isaiah 64:3 For when you did awesome things that we did not expect, you came down, and the mountains trembled before you.

He is remembering when the Lord was manifested at Sinai with Moses, Joshua, Gideon, and David; it was when Israel walked in POWER.

The prophet is saying “Lord do it again.”

Right now I believe The Lord is doing it again. He is moving in mighty ways each time we come together in the sanctuary and in homes.

I want to challenge you not to expect the norm but Joyfully Expect the supernatural. Take a step of faith for ever what you are believing God for and step out and expect God to show up!

And as we come together Sunday, meet me at the altar and let’s call out to God and I believe He will “Do It Again”. Amen!

Be praying and bring the sick the addicted, the broken hearted and the lonely to Freedom Encounter this weekend and in the presence of His Divine Visitation.

Hello Everyone,

What do you think of when you hear the word Revival a series of meetings or an Evangelist?

A.W. Tozer said, "If we yearned after God even as much as a cow yearns for her calf, we would be the worshiping and effective believers God wants us to be. If we longed for God as a bride looks forward to the return of her husband, we would be a far greater force for God than we are now."

When we hunger for a supernatural move of God and desire Him more than anything else in this world then we are in revival.

For those of you who are a part of the family of Freedom Center you know, we are in the midst of a move of God. As we have come together a wave of God’s GLORY has came in a mighty way.

Souls are being saved bodies are being healed people are being delivered WOW what a mighty God we serve.

I urge you to pray and seek God like you have never before and also do as Acts 17:30 says repent.

In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. NIV

Each time that we come back together come with joyful expectation that your God will move in our lives like never before. Bring the lost bring the sick bring the bound. Your God will save heal and deliver!

As we, as believers, experience a true move of God in revival, we will see God's power touch this world in a tremendous way! Revival in our hearts and church will create a spiritual dynamic that will impact our homes, our communities, our schools, our neighbors, our nation and our world for the glory of God!

REVIVAL!

Hello Everyone,

With Fresh Fire We Will Be Uncomfortable In The World.

Are we not comfortable when we can attend church services time and time again and never be stirred by the Spirit of God!

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

The fire of God burning in the heart will burn away our desire for the things of this world.

2 Tim. 2:4 No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs—he wants to please his commanding officer
.

Ephesians. 5:11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

Also with Fresh Fire We Will Care For Souls.

Jesus wept over Jerusalem because He cared for their souls.

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.

The early church was on fire and.....

Mark 16:20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

Martin Luther was on fire and started the Protestant movement.

19th Century Christians were on fire and started the Assemblies of God, The Church of God, and the Pentecostal Holiness.

Hello Everyone,

“Our God is a consuming fire.” (Heb. 12:29), and He desires to have, and will have a church that is “on fire” with His Divine Presence and Power.

Fire consumes -- burns out the sinful and unnecessary “stuff” in our lives.

Fire purifies -- makes us clean and holy before God.

Fire prepares (as in food) -- makes us tasteful and pleasant to each other.

Fire cheers -- when we are caught in the cold grip of despair and discouragement, He cheers us on to victory.

Fire softens -- the Holy Spirit softens the heart of the sinner and He repents.
Fire unites -- (as in uniting different kinds of metals) the Holy Spirit

brings unity to the people of God.

Fire empowers -- “Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” (Acts 1:8).

“We fail to get up much steam in many of our endeavors because we do not have enough fire under the boilers.” (Crabtree)

With Fresh Fire We Will Fast And Pray. We will see the need for and the value of earnestly seeking God with the whole heart. 1 Cor. 7:5.... “that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer;”

With Fasting and prayer there is the promise of Reward.

Matthew 6:17-18 “But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

Examples of fasting and prayer:

Moses received the Ten Commandments (Ex. 34:28).

Elijah received direction from the Lord (1 Kgs. 19:8).

Hezekiah received healing for his body.

Listen when we are on fire for God, we will respond to the needs of our day with prayer and fasting.

Hello Everyone,

As the church of the Living God we need Fresh Fire! Revival is at the heart of God. It has always been His desire that His people would draw close to Him and away from the world. Read with me in 2 Chronicles 7:1-3.

When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. 2 The priests could not enter the

temple of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled it. 3 When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the LORD above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying,
"He is good; his love endures forever."

Also Matthew 3:11:“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:”

We have gas logs in our fire place and I really miss the smell and sounds of a real fireplace.

“Many of us love an open fireplace. There is a therapy in the flickering light, the crackle of fire, and the smell of burning wood, the direct heat of a cheerful flame.

Most of us do not have such fireplaces, but God has always had His fireplaces. The burning bush, the brazen altar of the tabernacle, Mount Carmel, and His Pentecostal people -- these are just a few of God’s fireplaces.

The only fireplaces He has today in all the world are the hearts of His people.... We are to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

The FIRE of the Holy Spirit is to burn in the fireplaces of our own hearts.”

QUOTE: “There is nothing more pathetic than a drowsy and lethargic church. When a church loses its enthusiasm for Christ, it ceases to be an organism and becomes merely an organization. Lacking the spiritual strength to operate as a true church for God ... (it) will rely more and more on mechanics and machinery.”

We Need Fresh Flames of Revival to burn in us once again.

Hello Everyone,

When we have this overwhelming encounter with God what then is THE BELIEVER’S PERSPECTIVE IN A TIME OF CRISIS?

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.

Until the coming of Christ, we will face trouble

Job 5:7 Yet man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward.

Job 14:1 "Man born of woman is of few days and full of trouble.

Psalm 37:39 The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble.

Troubles come in all types

Short term troubles

Long term troubles
Pointless troubles
Little troubles
Past troubles

Right in the middle of our troubles we know that God is an inexhaustible source of Joy.
Verse 17 tells us what MAY happen, and COULD happen. Read it again.
Verse 18 tells us what we SHOULD do read it one more time.
We can embrace ANYTHING that comes our way when we face it with the knowledge and determination that what we face, we face with the knowledge, love, and sovereignty of our great Lord and Savior

My challenge to you is to believe for a fresh ENCOUNTER of the presence of God and His Holy Spirit.

At the end of the book of Habakkuk we see that when times of trouble come, that we face them with the certainty that they will not last, that they are under the control of a sovereign God, and that your surest way through them is by a fresh ENCOUNTER with your God.

Hello Everyone,

What we really need to do is get our foundation in God set so that our experience with God is like that of love!

What is THE BELIEVER’S FOUNDATION for such an encounter? Read with me:

Habakkuk 3:19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.

First of all God is Sovereign
His ways are unchangeable
His ways are eternal

Also God gives confidence
He is an UNFAILING source of strength
He is an UNFAILING source of confidence

1 John 5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

God gives us the feet of a deer. You might say “do what?”

In other words my foundation in God allows me to pass through this world with confidence and also it allows me to avoid this world with precision.

Lastly an Encounter with God enables me to go on the heights
The word for heights is “bama”, and has a couple of meanings.
First meaning is a place of worship
The second meaning is “incline” or “back” so, my foundation in God allows me to come into worship on His back. God carries me into my worship of Him!

What a sense of closeness, similar to you as a parent carrying your child on your back, or lifting up a newborn and carrying them in your arms from place to place.

With our foundation set, we can, just as Habakkuk did, adopt a new perspective in crisis, with the understanding that the eternal future God has for us is far more important than the temporal events of the world we inhabit.

Hello Everyone,
In the book of Habakkuk, we see the prophet of God overwhelmed by His God. Habakkuk has moved from a selfishly motivated request of God to a personal state of spiritual harmony.

He has moved to a position of trust in what will happen and a quiet contentment in the compassion, provision, and control of Almighty God.

First there is GOD’S PROFOUND EFFECT ON THE BELIEVER

Habakkuk 3:16 I heard and my heart pounded, my lips quivered at the sound; decay crept into my bones, and my legs trembled. Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come on the nation invading us.

We need to understand what an encounter with God should be like in the life of a believer.
There are those believers who have lost their love for Christ
There are those believers who have not been taught about what their relationship with God should be like.

There are so many wrong ideas about our encounter with God
Some would say there is no encounter with God. Others would say that He is not there to have an encounter with. Are that God is unconcerned with us.

Some would say that an encounter with God is always negative and should be avoided. Some are motivated by fear of punishment, so they do what they do to avoid pain, and any activity in the world by God is His response to some act of our disobedience.

And lastly there are some who would say any encounter with God comes only as a result of getting His attention. God is unconcerned, and needs to be awakened, or have His curiosity aroused.

These are just not true the correct idea of an encounter with God would be that our relationship with God is vibrant and exciting.

Our time with God should be a time of excitement as Habakkuk:
Our heart should pound
Our lips should quiver
Our bones should decay – “or get a weak feeling”

SIMPLY PUT AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD SHOULD BE A LOVING EXPERIENCE!

Hello Everyone,
We limit God with our limited vision. Jesus said He's good for as much as we'll believe Him for. If we just had a tiny speck of faith we could move mountains, and we're straining to move tiny specks!

We are the limiting factor. Jesus said he could not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief!

We need to see the big picture! Our church campus is the dot on the chalkboard. It's just a tool to do the work.

The big picture is people coming to hear the Word of God.

The big picture is that marriages, on the verge of divorce, are restored!

A cool youth room and game room is fine, but the big picture is that teens are being called and set apart!

A Wednesday evening meal is good for all of us, but the big picture is bringing someone to it that will be saved in the next hour.

The big picture is those who will arrive just as they are, and leave changed!

Paul Harvey said, "A blind man is bound by the limits of his touch, and ignorant man is bound by the limits of his knowledge, a great man is bound only by the limits of his vision!"

I believe God is a big God who wants for us to dream big and believe Him for big things for our church, our families, and our city.

Some have no vision, some have lost their vision, and some have limited vision...
Finally, there are people with 20/20 Vision.

A clear vision of how things ought to be and their vision calls them to action. It drives them to do more than others, to work while others rest, and to accomplish great things to the GLORY OF GOD!

Perfect Picture, Provides Power, AND Propels People!
