Hello Everyone,
As the church of the Living God we need Fresh Fire! Revival is at the heart of God. It has always been His desire that His people would draw close to Him and away from the world. Read with me in 2 Chronicles 7:1-3.
When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. 2 The priests could not enter the
temple of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled it. 3 When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the LORD above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying,
"He is good; his love endures forever."
Also Matthew 3:11:“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:”
We have gas logs in our fire place and I really miss the smell and sounds of a real fireplace.
“Many of us love an open fireplace. There is a therapy in the flickering light, the crackle of fire, and the smell of burning wood, the direct heat of a cheerful flame.
Most of us do not have such fireplaces, but God has always had His fireplaces. The burning bush, the brazen altar of the tabernacle, Mount Carmel, and His Pentecostal people -- these are just a few of God’s fireplaces.
The only fireplaces He has today in all the world are the hearts of His people.... We are to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The FIRE of the Holy Spirit is to burn in the fireplaces of our own hearts.”
QUOTE: “There is nothing more pathetic than a drowsy and lethargic church. When a church loses its enthusiasm for Christ, it ceases to be an organism and becomes merely an organization. Lacking the spiritual strength to operate as a true church for God ... (it) will rely more and more on mechanics and machinery.”
We Need Fresh Flames of Revival to burn in us once again.
Oh How HE Loves Us!
