Hello Everyone,

What we really need to do is get our foundation in God set so that our experience with God is like that of love!

What is THE BELIEVER’S FOUNDATION for such an encounter? Read with me:

Habakkuk 3:19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.

First of all God is Sovereign
His ways are unchangeable
His ways are eternal

Also God gives confidence
He is an UNFAILING source of strength
He is an UNFAILING source of confidence

1 John 5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

God gives us the feet of a deer. You might say “do what?”

In other words my foundation in God allows me to pass through this world with confidence and also it allows me to avoid this world with precision.

Lastly an Encounter with God enables me to go on the heights
The word for heights is “bama”, and has a couple of meanings.
First meaning is a place of worship
The second meaning is “incline” or “back” so, my foundation in God allows me to come into worship on His back. God carries me into my worship of Him!

What a sense of closeness, similar to you as a parent carrying your child on your back, or lifting up a newborn and carrying them in your arms from place to place.

With our foundation set, we can, just as Habakkuk did, adopt a new perspective in crisis, with the understanding that the eternal future God has for us is far more important than the temporal events of the world we inhabit.
