The Identity Crisis
• Shall I live as an Egyptian and become heir of Pharaoh
• Shall I live as a Jew and become Heir of an invisible but invincible God

Luke 12:15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT PRIORITY

Hebrews 11:25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.

Heb 11:26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.

The Kings scepter or the shepherds staff.

The life of pleasure or God’s people.

The palace or the wilderness.

The approval of the world or the approval of God

Psalm 84:10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
