Hello Everyone, 1 Acts 2:17
“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

Oh to be able to create a hunger for the things of God.

We can describe a vacation and have everyone who is listening desiring to go where we have been.

We can describe a meal that we had last night and have everyone who is listening hungry for a taste.

But when it comes to the things of God how can we make them hunger for more of the things of God.

A correct understanding of the Bible’s teaching on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is like aiming the gun at the target,

Experiencing God’s fullness and power is like pulling the trigger—which only the Spirit can do.

In the Old Testament, there are two primary functions of the Holy Spirit:

The first function of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament is…… Power

While the Spirit’s empowering work is evident in the OT, it was limited to select individuals and He “came upon” them for a short period of time for a specific purpose (prophesy, deliverance).

The Old Testament looks forward to a new day when the Messiah, Jesus, would bring about an age when all of God’s people would receive this empowerment to do God’s work.

Oh How HE Loves Us!
