The Holy Spirit distributes gifts as “He Will’s”:

^{1 Corinthians 12:11} All these [gifts, achievements, abilities] are inspired and brought to pass by one and the same [Holy] Spirit, Who apportions to each person individually [exactly] as He chooses.

· He guided the early church.

· He directed key missionary movements in definite specific ways.

^{Acts 13:2} While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."

^{Acts 16:6} Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia.

· In the early church He provided the warmth, the dynamic, & the joy for every part of their “DAILY” life including their work and worship.

This does not mean their minds or intelligence had no place or that they were ruled by emotion only.

^{Acts 17:11} Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

^{Acts 28:23} They arranged to meet Paul on a certain day, and came in even larger numbers to the place where he was staying. From morning till evening he explained and declared to them the kingdom of God and tried to convince them about Jesus from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets.

Emotion did have a vital part yet they were expected to accept reasonable proofs, and in understanding (thinking) be men (mature).
