Hello Everyone,

Read with me in Romans 8:31-34:

31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Salvation is something that touches us so deeply, that changes us so completely, and asks of us for so little, that it never ceases to make us stand in awe of the GRACE of God.

One man described his salvation like this:

“One day when God had nothing better to do, He began to search the lowest, darkest, most sinful hellholes on earth for the worst sinner he could find. I was it. He scraped me from the filth of humanity, took me to cavalry, and showed me what He had done for sinners like me. I could not believe that He would offer me so much, on terms so little. But I had to try. That day I put my trust in Christ to save me”.

Every one of us who are a child of God has a similar testimony. Maybe you where not a drug addict, are a child molester are a crook, are a wife beater but we ALL were sinners.

And we all needed a Savior and we found Him and much more.

That is what Paul is talking about when he asks the question, “What then shall we say to these things?”

It is like he is throwing out a net and pulling in all the truths that he has talked previously about in this one statement.

He began this letter to the Romans declaring that:

Romans 1:16

“ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes,”

And then from there he takes us back to our lost condition and brings us again along the road to salvation.

  • For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of man.
  • There is none righteous, no not one … for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
  • But, where sin abounded, grace did much more abound…for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus….For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
  • And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God , to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Oh How HE Loves Us!
