Hello Everyone,

I have been a little slow with e-votions this week. My Mother has not been doing well we moved to hospice this morning. Matter of fact that is where I am sending this e-votion from.

Thank you for your prayers!

Isaiah wrote this about the coming Messiah.

Is 61:1-3

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me

To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning,

The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified." NKJV

God Forgives and Forgets The Past.

The Prophet Jeremiah describes the New Covenant that God will make with Israel. And unlike the old covenant, it will be a HEART COVENANT.

Jeremiah 31:34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more." NKJV

In Hebrews this is repeated twice.

Heb 8:12

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more." NKJV

Heb 10:17

then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more." NKJV

How could a Holy God get past our sin?

Only by Him providing a substitute for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. NKJV

Sin that has been forgiven is gone forever!

Oh How HE Loves Us!
