In Psalm 29, King David invites us to pay tribute to the Lord God Almighty.

Knowing our God reigns in POWER and GLORY.

When we appreciate this, it will cause two responses from us.

First, recognizing God’s power and glory will cause us to …

Approach Him with reverence (Psalm 29:1,2).

¹ Ascribe to the LORD, O mighty ones,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
² Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.

How would we enter the presence of royalty?

In England, you would approach the throne with a bow or curtsy.

What would you do or say in the Queen’s presence?

With gentleness and respect, you would honor her high position by addressing her as “Your Majesty, the Queen.”

In the same way, when we approach God in prayer or in worship, we acknowledge that He is our glorious King.
