Hello Everyone,
I believe today we need a little break from all the bad news in this world.
In Revelation 19 God takes a break from the judgment here on earth, we are transported to Heaven to see what will be going on at the same time as the tribulation on earth.
The church will not go thru the tribulation…we will be part of an evacuation!
Everyone loves a wedding, and this one is far better than anything England could dream of!
We are the BRIDE of Christ! We will be made one with Christ perfectly / permanently… glorified! It all happens at the marriage of the Lamb. It’s a wedding in the sky! It is a million mile high club that nothing on earth can compare with.
The music will be magnificent. First we see the wedding music in Rev.19: 6.
Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.
v. 7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.
God chose this method of illustrating our relationship our consummation with Him.
An exciting / happy / joyful occasion.
Even pastors can get caught up in the excitement, as one preacher said, “It is now kisstomary to cuss the bride!”
When it comes to a wedding anticipation breeds enthusiasm!
This marriage analogy is nothing new in scripture.
The marriage feast: Matt. 22:9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. KJV
Mark 2:18 Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. Some people came and asked Jesus, “How is it that John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees are fasting, but yours are not?” 19 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them? They cannot, so long as they have him with them. 20 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and on that day they will fast.
II Cor. 11:2 I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him.
This reveals some certain truths about our relationship with Christ…what makes a good marriage on earth is also true with our spiritual relationship with Jesus!
Oh How HE Loves Us!
