Hello Everyone,
I pledge allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands:
one Nation under God
UNDER GOD
There are countless historical references that verify our country was formed on Christian beliefs.
Even as recently as the 50s and 60s as I said Monday the last change in the Pledge of Allegiance occurred on June 14 (Flag Day), 1954 when President Dwight D. Eisenhower approved adding the words "under God".
The God of the Bible is referenced throughout our founding documents, and other government institutions. You would have to be blind or an IDIOTE to miss them.
The Word of God declares "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD" -- Psalm 33.12
Why do you think we as a country have been so BLESSED ?
Yes we must be respectful of other beliefs. But we cannot allow those beliefs to reshape the foundation of this GREAT country!
Freedom of religion is one of our ten basic rights.
CS Lewis’ comments on the hearts of man that is common (common law?)
"Even when Gen-tiles, who do not have God’s written law, instinctively follow what the law says, they show that in their hearts they know right from wrong." -- Romans 2.14 (NLT)
Paul reminds us to pray for our country
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone -- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior" 1 Timothy 2.1-3
You better believe Greater Things Are still to come!
Pastor Phil
