Hello Everyone,

And now the people and thanksgiving.

3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

We must recognize God.

We must have faith in Him.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

We must have faith that He is God, and that He made us.

We must know that He created us in His image.

Gen. 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness,

We must communicate with Him because we are Spirit. (Prayer)

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

We are His children.

John1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

And then there is the pattern of thanksgiving.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

Notice the praise in vs. 1&2.

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

Thank Him in song, praise, and worship.

Thank Him by living for Him.

Enter His presence with praise.

All earth and heaven should praise Him.

Psalms 69:34 Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and all that move in them,

We should bless His name.

His name is above all names.

Through His name is the only way to be saved.

And then we see the person in thanksgiving.

5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

God is GOOD!

His mercies keep us from destruction.

Lamentations 3:22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

Thanksgiving needs to be a vital part of our life.

Thanking God for our blessings extends the blessings.

Failing to thank God for our blessings may end them.

Count your blessings and you will have reason to be thankful to God every day.
