All You Can Eat 3

Hello Everyone,

Today’s temptation is the same that the Devil has been for years. Look at all I can give you - look at all you can obtain - all you have to do is - lie a little, cheat a little, break the rules a little, look if it feels good it can’t be bad right - so just follow me.

Keep a little more for yourself - after all you only live once. Paul looked back over a lifetime of what the devil had given him and said “More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him…”

His soul had finally found peace - peace with the God who made Him.

Abundance is contentment - The problem with all the counterfeits of the enemy is that they leave us wanting more.

More money, more power, more control, more intensity of feeling (Extreme sports), more excitement… The wonder of God is that His abundance comes with contentment.

Here is what Paul said - “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

Contentment is not found in how much we have but in who has us.

God offers us the heart of contentment that is found not in treasures here but in an eternity with Him.

Greater Things Are Still TO Come!
