Never Quit 1

Hello Everyone,

One of the leading ingredients for having an abundant life is refuse to Quit - Genesis 21:14-19 –

14 Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the desert of Beersheba.

15 When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes. 16 Then she went off and sat down nearby, about a bowshot away, for she thought, “I cannot watch the boy die.” And as she sat there nearby, she began to sob.

17 God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. 18 Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”

19 Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.

Hagar threw in the towel within sight of the well that would have saved her. LISTEN!

Don’t quit! The old saying still holds true - winners never quit and quitters never win. Retool, rework, reinvest, change course, get Godly counsel- but don’t quit!

Some hints for you today:
Accept adversity as a given Jesus says to us “In this world you will have tribulation, but take courage for I have overcome the world.”

What I mean by this is rise up. Stop rolling over and playing dead when things get tough.

Stop acting like life is supposed to be a bed of roses and yours is the only one that’s got thorns.

Accept the adventure and learn to thrive in adversity not because you are strong but because Christ has overcome the world.

When you’re weary stay with Jesus, “come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

Stop running away from your problems - Many of us have set up patterns in our lives of quitting when the going gets tough.

From an early age many of us set patterns in our lives that lead to failure - we run from problems rather than confronting them.

I’m telling you today if you want to thrive in life you cannot do it without confronting your problems.

They will not magically go away. You need to face them, deal with them, and solve them in the POWER of God.

Greater Things Are Still To Come!
