Hello Everyone,
As I said yesterday it is difficult to reach the abundant life that God wants for you at any time but it is almost impossible outside of fellowship with the local church. Here’s are some other reasons:
• Community is Passion - Acts 2:46-47 - “Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, 47praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
It’s here when we are together that we find the passion of our belief - the energy for service - and the strength to do it.
Through our worship together we find an enthusiasm for ministry that helps us live this life. Life groups, Life Learning, Christian friends, and Celebrations, all help to build our hearts with the passion to carry on.
• Community is Service - I Cor 12:4-7 - “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. 7But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”
Listen you will never find abundance until you find your place of service. Jesus said to His disciples after washing their feet at the last supper - “You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am. 14“If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15“For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.”
You can be a Christian outside of the Christian community - but you will never find the abundant life in Christ outside of regular fellowship with other believers.
The world is conspiring against you - the enemy is battling on every front - it is in our community that we find the strength to fight the battle day by day.
