Hosanna Save Now 2

Hello Everyone,

One writer said: “The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are the two main hinges on which the door of salvation turns.”

He came into the world on purpose to give His life a ransom (payment/liberate/set free).

Just so you will know we have two O.T. Prophecies fulfilled in this text.

Matthew 21:5 "Say to the Daughter of Zion, 'See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.' This is the 14^th O.T. prophecy fulfilled in Matthew.

Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

And then in Matthew 21:9 The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Hosanna in the highest!" This is the 15^th O.T. prophecy fulfilled in Matthew.

Psalms 118:25-26 O LORD, save us; O LORD, grant us success. 26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. From the house of the LORD we bless you.

These words were sung by the Jews at the feast of tabernacles, while caring green branches in their hands.

The word “Hosanna” is a Hebrew expression that means “Save!” or “Save Now!” This also became an exclamation of praise in verse 15.
