This is The Resurrection 3

Hello Everyone,

So what’s the big deal about “The Resurrection?”

It is a Conforming Power

(NKJV) Romans 12 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The process of conforming begins when you first receive Jesus.

God’s Word challenges us to be conformed to Christ and not to the world.

God’s Word uses the idea of clay to demonstrate this characteristic of God’s plan.

We are to be workable in His hand, just as the clay is molded in the hands of the potter so we are molded in the hand’s of God.

(NKJV) Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

How does the resurrection conform us? It convicts, it confronts and it consumes.

Also the Resurrection is a Confirming Power

To confirm means to establish or support the truth of something.

The resurrection power of God confirms that just as Jesus was resurrected, so we to will be resurrected.

Just as death could not hold Jesus, so death will not be able to hold our mortal bodies.

(NKJV) 1 Corinthians 15: 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is coming a day when we will have a glorified body and we will be with God forever.

When we die we immediately go to be with the Lord but on resurrection day (rapture), our bodies will come up out of the grave if we have died or if we are alive our bodies will be instantly changed.

Either way our bodies will take on immortality and be perfect in every way.

Greater Things Are Still to Come!
