His Name 4

Hello Everyone,
For us Jesus became the Lamb of God, the perfect and final fulfillment of all the sacrifices of the Old Testament, by His death on the cross and the shedding of His blood making them all effective once and for all.

He is Savior, Redeemer, the Good Shepherd who gave His life for the sheep, He is also the Last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45), the Author and Perfecter of our Faith (Hebrews 12:2), for He is the Author of eternal salvation (Hebrews 5:9).

As the source of our spiritual life He is the true Vine, the Bread of Life, and the Water of Life.

As the Head of the Church, the Church is His Body.
As the Heavenly Bridegroom, the Church is His Bride.

As the Living Stone, the Foundation, the Capstone, the Church is the Temple built on Him and by Him.

Now in His exalted state at the right hand of the Father He is also our Intercessor and our Paraclete ("Helper," 1 John 2:1) and the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit.

In the Book of Revelation He is The Lion of the Tribe of Judah, but He conquers, not as the Lion, but as the Lamb (try underlining the word "Lamb" in the Book of Revelation wherever it applies to Jesus).

He is "the Faithful and True" (19:11), "the King of kings and Lord of lords" (19:16), "the Root and Offspring of David," "the Bright and Morning Star" (22:16), and the Lamp and Light of the New Jerusalem.

With even a glimpse of these things, how can we help but adore Him, love Him, and worship and follow Him in faith and obedience.

This is how we hallow His Name.

The Holy Spirit will help us to understand what these hallowed names mean.

For He is "another Counselor" (Greek, Parakletos, "Helper") to do for us what Jesus did for His disciples.

He is also the Spirit of Truth, the Teacher Spirit who will guide us into all the truth (John 15:26; 16:13).

His gifts will all honor Jesus, recognize Him as Lord (1 Corinthians 12:3), and bring glory to the holy name of the Father.
Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

Greater Things Are Still To Come!
