Mountain Top 2

Hello Everyone,

Some times when we find ourselves at the top of the mountain we find out that mountain is in Moriah.
Just when you think it could not get any worse, you see it can.

Maybe you have just won a major VICTORY, and you think you can take it easy.
And as you are enjoying the VICTORY you see you are on a Mountain and that mountain is in Moriah!!

For those who do not understand Mount Moriah is the place of ultimate SACRIFICE, and a place your FAITH will be TOTALY TESTED.

Let’s look at Abraham’s trip to Mount Moriah.

THE SUPREME TEST.

This event marked the highest point of Abraham’s SPIRITUAL life.
It was because of his faithfulness that this GREATEST crisis was made possible.

First there is His leaving COUNTRY and FAMILY.

Genesis 12:1-2
Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country,
From your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you.

Then His separation from Lot. (Who was a possible heir.)

Genesis 13:8-9
“So Abram said to Lot, "Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren. 9 Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left."

And then there was His letting go of his own plans and hopes for Ishmael when God told him that Sarah was going to have a son.

Genesis 17:17-19
Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?" 18 And Abraham said to God, "Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!"
Only with this faithful resume was Abraham ready for:

Genesis 22:2 "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah,

God struck at Abraham’s HEART when He asked for His SON His “ONLY” Son.
ONLY” means only in the sense of UNIQUE, one of a kind, and special.

Isaac was Abraham’s only hope for the fulfillment of God’s PROMISE.

Greater Things Are Still To Come!
