Hello Everyone,
Without exception something you need to understand Obedience
Brings God’s Blessing.
READ with me (Genesis
22:11-19)
11 But the angel of the Lord called out to him from
heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!”
“Here
I am,” he replied.
12 “Do not lay a hand on
the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God,
because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”
13 Abraham looked up and
there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the
ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that
place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is
said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”
15 The angel of the Lord called to Abraham from
heaven a second time
16 and said, “I swear by
myself, declares the Lord, that because you have
done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, 17 I will surely bless you
and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand
on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their
enemies,
18 and through your
offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”
19 Then Abraham returned
to his servants, and they set off together for Beersheba. And Abraham stayed in
Beersheba.
We can compare another promise to
obedience:
Malachi 3:10
“I will
open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That
there will not be room enough to receive it”.
How many
here have experienced the overflowing BLESSINGS of God in return for COMPLETE
obedience.
Have you
ever given money to someone in need without repayment from God?
Have you
ever given time for the cause of the Kingdom without repayment from God?
Mark
10:29-30
“Assuredly,
I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or
father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, 30
who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time--houses and
brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions--and
in the age to come, eternal life”.
Exceeding
great and precious are the PROMISES of God!
Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
The lesson
to be learned from this time in History is that God who is all knowing wants our
will completely and totally in line with His Will.
We are not
called on to give up one pursuit out of many; one wish
out of many; we are called on to give up everything, to sink our will into
God’s.
To finish
every prayer with “Nevertheless, not my will, but thine be done.”
Hebrews
11:17-20
“By faith
Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the
promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 of whom it was said, "In
Isaac your seed shall be called," 19 concluding that God was able to raise
him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative
sense”.
