Hello
Everyone,
Bringing
Peace into play:
The Word of
God does not only talk about peace that “passes
understanding” but also gives us practical advice on how to bring it
into play in our everyday lives.
First
thing Know God.
Just as the
source of true JOY is God, so He is the source of PEACE.
One of Jobs
comforters said it best:
Job 22:21 Submit
to God and be at peace with Him;
Isaiah
57:21
"There is no peace," says my God, "for the wicked."
They are
out of tune with the universe, because God made it and still rules over it in
spite of sin.
Paul
clarifies the concept of peace in Ephesians 2:14:
“For He (Jesus) Himself is our peace…”
Righteousness
and “rightness” can only come from God; so there can only be peace in the heart
when Christ has full control of our lives.
Also
Loving His Law.
The
Psalmist said it centuries ago, “Great peace have they who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble”. Psalms 119:165
In this age
of skeptics it is easy to take God’s Word lightly and consider it irrelevant.
Make sure
you know that timeless truths
are hidden in it that will bring help in any dilemma.
ILL. A Christian Psychiatrists by the
name of Dr. Smiley Blanton was asked if he read the Bible. He said: “I
not only read it, I study it. It’s the greatest textbook on human behavior ever
put together. If people would just absorb its message, a lot of us
psychiatrists could close our offices and go fishing.”
The Word of
God lets us know of the “rightness” of things and that all things really work
together for good.
It gives us
basic principles like:
“underneath are the everlasting arms”;
“love thy neighbor as thy self”;
“take no thought of tomorrow”;
“ye shall know the truth, and the
truth shall make you free”;
Paul tells
Timothy that scripture is profitable 2 Timothy 3:17:
“So that the man of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work.”
There is
PEACE in loving and knowing Gods Word.
Being
familiar with The Word of God will help you solve life’s problems.
