Hello Everyone, 3

Remember that Paradox means a statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense and yet is perhaps true.

The last paradox that we are looking at that Jesus was teaching in John is IT IS ONLY BY SERVING THAT GREATNESS COME.

John 12:26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves me.

People aim for the throne but it is at the foot of the cross that greatness starts.
People trick and deceive others to be number one but it is by loving others and thinking of their good that we become great.
People tend to become proud once they have money and power but those who find the real power in God become humble as they realized without God they had nothing.

The people who the world remembers with love are the people who serve others.

It is a fact that in the today’s culture the idea of service is in danger of getting lost.

“So many people are in business only for what they can get out of it. They may get rich, but one thing is certain--they will never be loved, and love is the true wealth of life”. (Barclay)

“Jesus came to the Jews with a new view of life. They looked on glory as conquest, the gaining of power, the right to rule.

He looked on it as a cross. He taught men that only by death comes life; that only by spending life do we keep it; that only by service comes greatness. And the extraordinary thing is that when we come to think of it, Christ’s paradox is nothing other than the truth of common sense”.

Oh How He Loves Us!
